The Sound of Silence

When you enter the dialysis centre, all you can hear is silence. In one of the centres, is Mr. Ibrahim Kan who suffers from kidney failure for over 13 years and goes for dialysis treatment, three times a week. It highlights the different aspects of his treatment and how it conveys the importance of his life philosophy: to look after your health.

This photo essay was created and edited by me to raise awareness about the seriousness of Kidney Failure in partnership with the National Kidney Foundation.

A Place of Hope

Nestled beneath Woodlands Block 825, almost unnoticeable to passer-by’s is a microcosm of hope that brings life to those who suffer from kidney failure. Almost 100 patients pass through these doors every week. Overall, there are 36 dialysis centres located within HDB estates all over Singapore.

Colorful Vibrant Nights
